Short and Sweet

Just a couple of thoughts to share today....and everyone breaths a sigh of relief because who could really read that much again!! :)

Frist, for those who have asked:  Lexapro, 10mg, is my new 'perk me up' friend.  It's a very low dose but it does the trick to 'take the edge off' and keep me from jumping off said edge!  (and, no, I'm not getting my happy drugs for free by telling you about it...just want to share the happiness if it's something that can help you!)

Bean lost her first tooth yesterday!!  She has been stressed all year about when she'd lose her first tooth since her classmates seems to be losing them left and right.  And trying to explain to a 7 year old that she didn't get her first tooth until she was almost 10 months old so it might take a while never went over well!
She 'pulled' it herself in the bathroom at school..."well, I pushed it down; then pushed it down some more and it just popped out; then I catched it with my hand before it hit the ground, phew!"

Oh, and if you need a reason to have a good cry, head over to Candy Hearts. Such a touching post and song!

And if you need a reason to laugh your a$$ off (and who can't use a laugh today?!), head over to Beta Buddies.  Reyna is in rare form today, sharing a special song just for the DOC.

You'll be glad you did!!!

  1. Teeth: exciting when you get them and when you lose them!

  2. Congrats to the Bean! Losing her first tooth is a BIG deal! Hope you had fun playing Tooth Fairy Denise! :)

  3. MUAHHH! LOVE you for the shout out...and tell Bean Joe is 8 and has only lost two teeth. WEIRD. Bridget lost several in first grade.

  4. Yey for a lost tooth! I totally get it - my daughter is almost 8 and she's been stressing about being the only kid in her class who hadn't lost her 2 front teeth. Luckily they came out last week. :)

And, um, I'm totally with ya on the Lexapro. !0mg, baby. :)

  5. Woohoo for the lost tooth! I think it is kind of funny how much emphasis kids put on losing is 7 and that is always the biggest topic i hear on the playground Monday morning...'i lost a tooth...did you lose a tooth? i got blah blah blah from the tooth fairy!" it's like a competition or something in her class...lolol...crazy kids

  6. aww yay for the tooth. I have a nearly 7 year old (my oldest non d-kid) and hes lost 1 tooth, and got 2 more wobblies centre front. hes going to look a treat with 3 missing front teeth!

  7. My 6 year old gets upset cuz "everybody else" has lost teeth already. He has a super wobbly one so maybe the tooth fairy will be visiting this weekend..can't wait!!

Lexapro-I will have to check into that!!
