Debbie Downer alert

Maybe it's the clouds.

Maybe it's the actual weight from the stress eating I've been doing.  Sooo need to get my rear in gear and DO SOMETHING!

Maybe it's the busy schedule of the past week and this week and next week and then it's into 'school' mode, ugh!

Maybe it's the ever growing list of things that need to be bought (school supplies, D supplies), need to be sorted (clothes in the 'school drawer' that have been out grown or are no longer 'clean' enough ~ gotta love Art stains! ~ so I know what to add to the 'need to be bought list'), need to be planned (events at school for registration this week and staff returning to work next week that the PTO is in charge of), need to be written (504 plan to fit Bean's needs and have CGM info added because there's nothing about that in the sample I got from our local ADA), need to be arranged (childcare for Bug if I am going back to teaching, which is still up in the air; meetings and training with staff for Bean's D care at school because it will be very different from last year), need to be taken care of (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, meals).

Maybe it's the lack of sleep.

Maybe it's the basal rates that I thought I had figured out last week that don't seem to be working this week.

Whatever it is, it's heavy and I am starting to grow weary under the load.

  1. Girl....SAME SAME!! I JUST posted practically the same thing. My hubby asked me what was wrong today and I just weight, the stuff I need to get done for school starting in 10 days..the weight of Adam's issues. I'm having a droopy day too. HUGS.

  2. Awww, hugs! Join my pity party, there's always room for another. Sorry life has been so craptastic lately, praying it gets better soon!

  3. Okay. Reading that stressed me out. I should have been more productive today! Ahhhhhhhh!

Make a priority list and knock out a couple things. You'll feel better....... Plus, don't worry about sorting clothes and such...they aren't going anywhere!! : )

  4. All I can say, is that I'm going crazy with basals. CRAZY. So, think of me when you're going through it too...

  5. Sending you a giant HUG my friend. I hope that your stress load lightens very soon, and if it doesn't...I say go take 5 minutes out and lay down in the grass and stare at the clouds. Deep breaths and enjoy the silence. It may sound silly or look strange to trust me, it totally helps. :o)

  6. Ditto!! We need a cocktail or two ;)

Sending hugs! Hope it gets better soon mama.

  7. You can just insert my name at the end there.

    Same Same.

And I've been working like a dog on the weight things with very little to show for it.

Let's run away for a weekend ;) LEAVE THE LAUNDRY BEHIND, BABAY!

  8. I was a total downer all day yesterday and today. Not diabetes related, BUT sometimes when I'm down, diabetes stuff seems even worse. Sometimes a pity party is necessary. The load will lighten again!

  9. It sounds like when I feel "eh" got a lot going on. This time of year is hard for D' Mamas...trying to get school stuff organized etc. It is not an easy task.

Thinking of you sweet gal. Does Tracy at The SuperHero And The Princess have a CGM sheet for school? I tried to come up for something for our school but the school nurse will make NO decisions based on the CGM. I'll look and see if I can find the document I made.

  10. we are all allowed to feel the weight of the world on our shoulders from time to time. we are only human after all.

  11. Yo...I just posted for ya BABE! I slapped up my "Cheat Sheet" ~ it is a bit lame...and linked over to Tracy. xoxo

  12. Must be something in the air, I'm feeling it too lately. Hope things come together beautifully and you feel less stressed. Hubs reminded me the other night that this will pass and things WILL look up again! :)

  13. For me, I think its a combo of all of the avove. OH! And add in a little PMS to boot!

  14. Yes, me too. Bought new trainers yesterday and I feel fitter already! They are still in the box in the hallway as today it rained like mad. August always does this to me. I think it is the enforced sense of " I should be enjoying myself, it's summer" and when I don't I feel bad. Hang in there. Cyber hugs from England.
